So...
It's been a while. I am currently writing this on my phone, because my computer, my lovely lovely computer, is dead in the water. Due to water.

But wow, it's been nine years since I joined this site, and while I do feel like I've grown as an artist, none of you can see it because I'm unable to upload anything.

I'm hoping that I'll fix that soon, but, well, money is tight, and I suppose I should update you all on that, huh.

I will say that I am very glad to live in Canada, especially due to the cost of medical procedures in other countries. The reason I say this is because I recently had brain surgery to get rid of a tumor. It was non cancerous, but still, not fun. And due to my being on medical leave, I am currently not taking in the big, big, minimum wage dollars.

So a new computer, maybe not happening that soon.

Otherwise, everything is just peachy.

The good news: I have a new scanner!

The bad news: DA still won't upload my art. It apparently can't even download it entirely, so yeah.

SO, as an update to my previous journal entry, in which I lamented the fact that my new, amazing computer can't pair up with some of my older technology and that this was disturbing my precious art, and that was so totally the entire reason behind my lack of updates, even though that is complete and utter bull, ANYWAYS.

SO, I have found my photoshop disk (actually misspelled that as "phooshop", should totally become a thing) and bam, wham, thank-you-ma'am, I HAVE PHOTOSHOP!

This is going to open up an EXCITING new portion of my life as an artist, in which I ABANDON the previous tools of the trade in order to carve my path along this rocky mountain road (anyone else want icecream?) to ARTISTIC PERFECTION as a NEW member of the DIGITAL MASTER RACE and yeah not really.

Failed attempts at comedy aside, I will be trying (Do, or do not, there is no GODDAMNIT YODA) to do art using ONLY my digital tools. This does not mean that I won't be using traditional media, no, only that you won't be seeing anything originating from a traditional form on my pages for a while.

Again, I will try to upload more often, even if what I throw up (ew) is only a quick sketch or something. So, consider this an official REQUESTS ARE OPEN AGAIN announcement. Don't go flooding the inbox.

ALSO, for those of you who actually do (or did) comment on my "art" previously and intend to do so in the future, THANK YOU. I appreciate communication between peoples of similar interests, and even constructive criticism is appreciated, if not ESPECIALLY appreciated. I really don't do this so people can look at my stuff and LIKE it, I want you to TALK to me about it. What do you like, what don't you like, what do you think has potential and could be expanded on, what should be thrown into the depths of darkness and burned alive with the fires of artistic JUSTICE.

EXCEPT FUCKING NOT. APPARENTLY, DA HAS SUDDENLY DECIDED TO HAVE ISSUES WHEN I SUBMIT MY FUCKING ART, AND "CANNOT RECOGNIZE" A FUCKING PNG. A FUCKING PNG. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY DEVIATIONS HAS BEEN PNG. FOR YEARS. FUCKING YEARS WITHOUT A GODDAMN HITCH, AND NOW WE HIT A FUCKING ROADBLOCK. IT ALSO SEEMS TO BE UNABLE TO UPLOAD A FUCKING JPG. I FUCKING SWEAR, EVERY SINGLE TIME I DECIDE TO GET OFF MY FAT ASS AND DO SOMETHING WITH THIS WEBSITE, IT JUST FUCKING HANDS ME A FUCKING REASON NOT TO, ON A SILVER FUCKING PLATTER. WITH A FUCKING GARNISH. That all being said, I won't be "giving up", just staying extremely fucking pissed off and ignoring DA for a while.

So ... it's almost been a year since I submitted a new deviation. Uh, sorry bout that.

But I have good news ... and bad news.

The good news is that I'm currently experimenting with Copic markers and really want the feedback of everybody who is (still, for some reason) watching me. I'm really excited with the markers, and I want to pair them with watercolour in order to create new and exciting art.

The bad news is that I got a new computer. And while it is an awesome, powerful beast of a machine, I seem to have ... lost the ability to install most of the old equipment I used to use. As in, all of it. I currently have to see  if my scanner will work with Windows 8.1, and then see if my Wacom tablet will do the same. Fingers crossed.

If not, it may be much. much longer than I want to upload anything, because I will have to shell out for an entirely new scanner and an entirely new tablet. Ugh.

Oh well. Any new is good news right?

I'm trying to get started on a long, involved fan-fiction crossing two books (maybe), and am currently working on "designs" of the TFP characters that will hopefully be present. I say "designs" because I'm really just trying to create pre-Earth designs for them. I mean, what exactly DID Knockout look like before he was an Earth car?

So, warning, this will include original characters. Yeah, that sucks, but I have my reasons for it. There will be ... maybe up to five original characters. I only have names for three of them. The other two are entirely optional, I guess.
